The project brief is for a cozy contemporary seven star home. In order to achieve this we turned the hallways into unheated open air space with timber batten walls that shade the interior spaces from the hot Westerly sun. The plan is angled toward true North, while still rolling down the hill toward the street. Windows and awnings are perfectly sized for ideal solar exposure. The building envelope has super thick insulation and all water on site is retained and reused. And as if by magic, the design looks great! We look forward to
